Privacy at Classify
Classify is a public Jev use cases directory at classify.st. This page is the privacy notice for the website. It describes the small amount of data the directory stores so people and agents can see what happens when they browse, search, submit a note, or book a sponsor slot.
The catalogue pages themselves are public. Use case text, published numbers, and source links are meant to be read and indexed. Do not send private customer data through the public form.
What the site stores in your browser
Theme lives in localStorage under classify-theme. It is not kept in the address bar. Search state lives in the URL as q, pattern, and the optional dev flag. Those query keys are how you share a filtered view of the directory. The site does not use a theme query parameter after an old link is opened once.
What the server stores
Directory search may send the typed job to TypeSafe Jev so the table can rank by pattern and confidence. That request is for classification, not for publishing a new case. Submit use case stores the pasted text for later review. It does not create a public row on submit.
Sponsor booking starts a YapHaus Stripe Checkout Session. Stripe sees the payment details. Classify keeps only what it needs to mark a slot as booked. Admin review is not a public page.
First-party analytics
Classify runs Umami on the same Dromio host as the directory. The public pages load a small first-party script from classify.st. It records page path, referrer, browser, and country. It does not set a marketing cookie and it does not send visits to Google Analytics. The dashboard is at stats.classify.st.
The dashboard is for the people who keep the catalogue. It is not a public report. Email hello@classify.st if you want a visit removed from that store.
How to ask a privacy question
Email hello@classify.st. Say which page or form you used. Classify does not sell a marketing list and does not run an account system. If you want a submitted note removed before it is reviewed, say so in that mail.
